About OverCount

OverCount is a free research tool for NBA fans. Search any active NBA player, pick a stat, type a number, and it shows how often that player finished over that number in recent games. You bring the line; we don't publish lines, odds or picks.

How the numbers are calculated

• Over means the player's total was strictly greater than the line you typed. If the total equals the line exactly, it's a push and counts as not over. Pushes happen on whole-number lines, and on Fantasy Score lines because Fantasy Score can be a decimal like 40.5.
• Hit rate = games over ÷ games played in that window, rounded to the nearest whole percent.
• Last 5 / 10 / 20 are his most recent games played, counting back across seasons. Before the 2026-27 season starts, these come from 2025-26.
• 2026-27 and 2025-26 are every game he played in that season.
• Games included: regular season, play-in, NBA Cup and playoff games. Preseason is excluded. Untick "Include playoffs" to drop playoff games. Games he didn't play in are not counted, and neither are empty cameos (1 minute or less with no points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, turnovers or shot attempts).
• Average is the mean of the window and median is its middle value (the mean of the two middle values when the count is even).
• Home / Away / vs next opponent splits use every game in the 2025-26 and 2026-27 seasons.
• Combo stats add the listed box-score stats together, for example Pts+Rebs+Asts.
• Fantasy Score = Points + 1.2 × Rebounds + 1.5 × Assists + 3 × Steals + 3 × Blocks − Turnovers. These are the weights in NBA.com's stat glossary under "Fantasy Points". Check that your platform scores it the same way.

Data

Box scores are licensed from a commercial sports data API and refreshed once a day, usually early in the morning (US time) after the previous night's games are final. Stats can contain errors or later corrections. Last data update: 2026-10-08.
